Onderstaande activiteiten werden verricht overeenkomstig de statutaire richtlijnen van SMART.

I. Vergadering Bestuur SMART

Overleg betreffende lopende zaken vond door het jaar heen plaats per email, afgrond met een fysieke vergadering.

·  Summit ‘Building Resilient Communities: Innovations in MHPSS and Peacebuilding’. Georganiseerd voor Institute for Community Based Sociotherapy (ICBS) 25-26 November, 2024, Kigali, Rwanda. Bijdrage aan organisatie en deelname Annemiek Richters.

·    Workshop on Community Based Sociotherapy for Clinical Psychology. Students’ Association of Rwanda (CPSAR) University of Rwanda, Huye, Rwanda. 4 December 4, 2024. Mede organisatie en presentaties Annemiek Richters and Emmanuel Nzabonimpa.

3. Support Community Based Sociotherapy Rwanda

Ondersteuning van de NGO Community Based Sociotherapy Rwanda

Subsidie werd verleend voor bezoeken van een SMART bestuurslid aan de NGO ten behoeve van het bijdragen aan onderzoeksactiviteiten (opzetten en begeleiden van onderzoek, mede schrijven van publicaties, retreats).

Financiering herdruk van het boek ‘Narapfuye Ndazuka’ (Of death and rebirth) in het kader van het project ‘Breaking through the silencing of genocidal rape in Rwanda: The multi-level effects of published testimonials’.

4. Diversen

·    Opzetten SMART website: www.stichting-smart.net.

·   Gisèle Walumona rondde haar door SMART financieel ondersteunde MA studie af met de thesis ‘Education for the culture of peace: A strategy for building lasting peace in the context of intergenerational conflicts. The case of eastern DRC’.

·  Acceptatie voor publicatie in 2025 van mede door SMART gefinancierd onderzoek naar ‘Non-State Dialogical Peacebuilding without an Empirical  State in Eastern DRC’.

·    Een jaarlijkse donatie werd verstrekt aan de ANBI Stichting Vrouwen tegen Uitzetting.

·    Lening aan de NGO CBS Rwanda. Een deel daarvan werd volgens contract terugbetaald.
